Zymurgy

Re-imagining of the quarterly magazine produced by the American Homebrewers Association, featuring original illustrations and fold-out poster based on the main article.
Because Zymurgy and homebrewing are associated with a strong DIY attitude, the redesign featured a visual aesthetic founded on low-fi, handmade visuals and materials. Instead of a typical full-sized, glossy magazine, I instead chose to shrink the format and use a pebbled, matte paper stock and created all original screenprint-inspired illustrations. The new magazing also features pull-out recipe cards and a folded poster.
